Bob Roman Bass Guitar/Vocals Fairfield, NJ |
Bob started playing guitar in the early 1960s. His first band was called The Invaders, an instrumental group influenced by The Ventures. Bob's good friend, Ed Decker, asked him to switch from playing guitar to playing bass to join a band called The Right Side in 1969. After a few years with The Right Side, Bob decided to try his hand at country music, joining a band called Sundown. During the late 70s, Bob's love of 50s music took him to his next band, The Platinums. The Platinums performed in shows with famed vocal groups The Duprees; Earl Lewis and The Channels; Larry Chance and The Earls; and Johnny Maestro, to name a few. Eleven years later, Bob joined Twilight, a band much like The Platinums. In Twilight, Bob met Joe Cimo, and they are still playing together over twenty years later. After a break with a few interim bands, most notably Tumbling Dice. Twilight reformed featuring various local singers from other bands before disbanding in 2002. In 2003, Bob and Joe teamed with Joey Rizzo and John Clemente to form Four Man Trio. And, yes, you can blame Bob for the name! |
